SBI Middle East Headquarters
Bridging Horizons For the inaugural Saudi Arabian branch of Japanese enterprise SBI, our studio was entrusted with a comprehensive mandate: to design and execute a headquarters that elegantly bridges Japanese minimalism with the welcoming warmth of Saudi hospitality. The resulting narrative is one of balanced tranquility and dynamic functionality, conceived to foster innovation within a serene, culturally resonant environment. The spatial experience is defined by clean lines, natural materials, and a muted, earthy palette that speaks to both Eastern Zen philosophies and the local landscape. Carefully curated architectural elements—such as delicate wooden slatted partitions, woven textures, and striking botanical focal points like the sculptural indoor tree anchoring the stairwell—create an atmosphere of quiet focus and organic flow. Recognizing SBI’s progressive role as an incubator, the spatial programming was meticulously developed to be highly adaptable. We designed a fluid layout encompassing a distinguished executive office and a versatile co-working arena, selecting multifunctional furniture that allows the environment to pivot seamlessly between collaborative workshops, informal meetings, and focused, independent tasks. Acting as a comprehensive partner, our studio managed the project’s entire lifecycle—from initial strategic studies and immersive 3D visualizations to rigorous technical detailing and full on-site execution—delivering a seamless, turnkey headquarters where global ambition meets refined, purposeful design.
